The Goiztiri Association came into being in Barakaldo as a platform which brings together different work initiatives with groups involved in risks of poverty and social deprivation.


We would like to develop programmes and services aimed at providing effective answers to present and future problems of groups which are in a situation of social exclusion.

 
  • We received the Utopia Award from the Provincial Council of Bizkaia in 1997.

  • Declared a Public Service by Basque Government Decree on the 30th December 1997.

  • Diploma of Commitment to Total Quality / Excellence awarded by Euskalit in November 2003.

  • Premie Certificate of Quality awarded in the year 2003 (D-89/2.003).

      We work with the following groups:
    • Children and adolescents.

    • Drug addicts in the process of social incorporation.

    • Those deprived of freedom, prisoners on day release, prison inmates and those carrying out alternative sentences.

    • Young unaccompanied foreigners.

    • The adult population living in poverty.

    • Women.
